Lilium grandiflorum is a variety of lemon lily belonging to Liliaceae. It is a rhizomatous perennial herb with spherical bulbs, scattered leaves, narrow lanceolate leaves, racemes, and few single flowers; Bracts leaf shaped, lanceolate, long peduncles, drooping flowers, rolled petals, red with purple spots, papillate protrusions on both sides of nectaries, filaments, hairless, anthers orange red; Ovary cylindrical, flowering period from July to August. Distributed in Japan, North Korea, Russia (Far East region), and China; Distributed in Northeast, North China, Shaanxi and other places in China. Growing in sandy valleys below an altitude of 1290 meters.
